Zoe-perry
Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. She was not allowed to start acting with her parents till the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might cause. Perry says she didn't want to perform in high school but decided to take up performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. She landed small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness brought her back to California for theater roles. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 She performed with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The role was selected via auditions though she had a close association with it.
