Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. Raised by her mother throughout the USA she faced numerous racial insults and made her feel being unwelcome. The confidence started to build during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her singing. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she turned 23 years old, she launched her career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. The role of The lad from The Lake is her greatest breakthrough, bringing herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. The recognition grew even more for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended play. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT issues.
